Year of arrival to the UK: 2006

Motivation: curious of the world, wanting to help her parents who lost their jobs

Education: higher, Degree in Pedagogy

History of employment upon arrival: worked in a juice bar, an office, a vegetarian restaurant (bartender and then manager), own charity shop

Current occupation: therapist (massage, holistic medicine, reflexology); babysitter

Close friends: multicultural group

Family status: parents live in Poland, in Mazury

Housing situation: lives with a group of friends  in abandoned dwellings, takes care of them in exchange for a low rent (i.e. property guardian)

Advantages from living in the UK:

”I have English friends, however we are not close because they keep at a distance, which bothers me a little.”
”I miss Polish summer, the one when it is 30 degrees Celsius and you can really bask in the sun.”

Future plans:
to travel to California to take more courses in acupuncture and herbal remedy
